Community Christmas

Join us for the 7th Annual Community Christmas Store — December 7th & 8th! From set up to baking to gift wrapping, there is room for everyone to participate!

Community Christmas is a weekend shopping experience held each December dedicated to celebrating the dignity and worth of everyone who participates. With kids' activities and holiday treats, it's so much more than just shopping. It's a great opportunity to build relationships in our city.

People who participate with one of our partner organizations have the opportunity to earn "Christmas Cash" throughout the year, and anyone who has earned "Christmas Cash" can shop in the Community Christmas store in December! People from all over our city also volunteer to staff the Community Christmas store!

Christmas in July

Christmas in July is a gift drive supporting Community Christmas. Businesses, churches, organizations, and individuals purchase new gift items to help stock the Community Christmas store.

Participating is simple. Download our shopping list. Purchase a gift item. Drop off at 413 N. Homer St, Ruston.

We love our city, and believe we truly are better together. Christmas in July and Community Christmas are all about togetherness - partnership between seven non-profits in our community, different churches and organizations coming together for the good of our city, and friends and neighbors reaching out to those around them!

Community Christmas is a partnership of 9 nonprofit organizations: Boys and Girls Clubs NLA, Life Choices, D.A.R.T., Teach One to Lead One, Youth Empowerment Program, Freedom 13, Bridges International, and Royal Family Kids Camp NELA.
