WHAT WE DO
The Well participates in community building events designed to create safe places for people to connect with one another and have access to resources. We believe no one should walk alone and we are stronger when we can encourage one another and share our burdens. We do this through two different avenues — Family Village and Homer 413.
Family Village is a community around adoption and foster care. This community advocates for the unique needs of children and families walking through each of these experiences. We host community gathering events as well as assist families with a variety of practical resources. We have a strong partnership with the Department of Children and Family Services through which we co-host trainings, celebrate social workers, and meet the needs of local families.
If you are a foster or adoptive family looking to connect or interested in learning more about foster care or adoption, fill out the contact form here and we will be in touch with you.
Homer 413 is a membership-based resource center that gives members the opportunity to build community and earn physical resources they need by attending classes and programs designed to move individuals toward restored life. Earned credits can be used to shop for groceries or wash clothes in the laundromat.
Homer 413 is a group of people neighboring together. Regular events like the Community Potluck, Cooking Club and weekly Bingo Hour provide places for relationship building with people from across our community.
